An Indeterminate New Day
When brilliant sun gives way
to dark and misty night
when sweet mirth
acquiesces to bitter dolefulness
tuck inside like tortoise
with camouflaged resistance
recharging and gathering inner strength
‘til circle dancing midst vibrant sky
within boundless walls
until mighty enough to face
whatever lurks outside
whether tender breeze
or ferocious storm
basking in the armored glow
of accumulated
and reinvigorated passions
until amassing the energy
to revitalize
and to launch
into an enduring
and indeterminate new day
