2020 was a year full of surprises. On February I found out I was pregnant. My son who is 4 and my husband were very happy. A few weeks later the entire world found out about COVID 19. There were no studies on the effect of this disease could have on pregnancy. We wore gloves and face masks everywhere. It was so weird seeing everyone with their face covered. My son was upset he couldn’t go out so much. But we got creative. We painted, decorated my sons room, played our musical instruments and we cooked and baked a lot! We mostly went for car rides but hardly ever got out of the car. Most of our shopping was done online. Everything was different. When our baby was born we were sad we couldn’t have any visitors. That helped her stay safe and healthy. We now realize how following guidelines has helped our family stay healthy even if it feels annoying and overwhelming, but for now we will keep waiting for a vaccine so that soon we can gather with our families and friends.
